Education:
- Postdoc with Joanna Masel at the University of Arizona
- Ph.D. in Cellular & Molecular Biology (Evolutionary Genetics) with Emmanuel Milot at the University of Québec at Trois-Rivières
- Masters in Cellular & Molecular Biology with Emmanuel Milot at the University of Québec at Trois-Rivières (fast-tracked to Ph.D.)
- Masters in Integrative Biology at the University of François-Rabelais, Tours, France
- License (BS equivalent) in Life Sciences at the Lebanese University, Beirut, Lebanon
Research Interests:
My interests are in the evolutionary genetics of complex traits and the interactions between selection and genetic variation. I am also interested in the evolutionary forces that shape heritable genetic variation. I have previously investigated the evolution of life history traits using pedigree-based quantitative genetics methods. Currently, I am working on population genetic modeling to study the mutation load problem and how high mutation rates can dominate the genetic dynamic of population persistence.
