Research Interests:
I study tree architecture broadly construed, with a particular focus on the ecological implications of variation in branching architecture. I ask how variation in tree morphology scales up to influence the structure and dynamics of forest ecosystems. I use modern remote sensing tools such as Terrestrial Laser Scanning to answer these questions, often in Neotropical forests.
