We are so excited to have you join us for our Research Showcase and/or Undergraduate Poster Session!
April 28th 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Environment and Natural Resources 2 Building Courtyard
Poster Session Information for Participants:
Check-in is from 9:00 - 9:45 am in ENR2, Room S107, with the poster session starting at 10:00 am. We will have two 1-hour judging blocks to allow an hour to check out other posters, eat, or go to class. Judging will be either from 10:00 - 11:00 am or 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. I will send out a survey in early April to see which time block you prefer. Awards will immediately follow in the ENR2 Courtyard.
Each judge is assigned to 4 posters within a 1-hour time frame. This means they will probably spend about 10-15 minutes at each poster. If you'd like to prepare some talking points, I suggest keeping that under 5 minutes to allow time to answer questions afterwards. Some of the EEB graduate students are holding a poster making workshop on April 7th from 4:00-6:00 pm if you would like assistance with designing your poster.
Suggested dress - Business Casual. We will be outdoors in a shaded area, so please dress comfortably.
You can find templates for a few different poster styles as well as tips for what types of information to include at:
Please keep posters within 36" x 48" dimensions. They can be formatted either vertically or horizontally based on your preference. I have attached some questions asked in previous poster sessions. You may not be asked to answer all these things, but it is good to be prepared as they are very common questions. Try not to overwhelm the poster with text; be clear and concise with your information. Also have fun choosing colors, photos, and graphics to make it eye catching!
There are printing services available through Fast Copy in the Student Union (https://union.arizona.edu/fastcopy/) or off campus.
If printing off campus, we recommend Reproductions on 4th ave, though you are free to choose the vendor.
